Ingredients

Glaze:

  • 2/3 cup of light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup of white sugar
  • 2 tbsp. white wine vinegar
  • 2 tsp of rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp ginger

Meal:

  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 4 ounces Shredded Red Cabbage
  • 2 Scallions
  • 2 tablespoon Szechuan Paste
  • 1 package Ramen Noodles
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
  • salt, pepper, and garlic to taste
  • sugar
  • butter

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine all of the ingredients for the glaze and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring frequently. Let stand until paste thickens.
  2. Cook Ramen according to package directions.
  3. Brown ground beef in a skillet, add salt, pepper, and garlic to taste. Add scallion whites and shredded cabbage and cook until tender (3-4 minutes).
  4. Add glaze, Szechuan paste, and 1 tsp sugar. Stir until combined.
  5. Drain and rinse pasta saving a bit of sauce water. Add 2 tbsp butter and mix until coated, adding in a little bit of sauce water if needed to coat noodles thoroughly.
  6. Combine noodles and beef mixture, top with scallion greens and sesame seeds, and serve!
